Private and cosy: Self-catering (or B&B) accommodation for 2 persons in the old part of town - tree-lined streets, "leivore", abundant birdlife amidst rambling rose gardens and an intriguing display of quaint post boxes! We are located in Robertson, on Route 62 - the world's longest wine route. Wine Tasting, River Rafting, Fishing, Golf, Hiking, Arts and Crafts, Festivals, a Casino and much more is located close-by. Slippers is a private garden flatlet equipped with pristine "Cloud Nine Classic" beds. All linen and towels are provided. In winter we provide extra woolly blankets, a heater and hot water bottles. For summers, we provide a fan and the window is fitted with a mosquito-mesh. There is a comfortable easy-chair, antique dining table with two chairs, tiled- and wooden floors, remote controlled television (SABC and e-tv), cd player with AM/FM radio, a small library and local information, cupboard, bedside tables, luggage kist, hair-dryer (on request), digital safe, security alarm system (for those concerned...), ample lighting, rugs, board-games and plenty of feasts for the eyes! An iron and ironing board is available on request. The private shower-room is quaint and spacious. A quick daily cleaning service is included. Free off-street, roofed parking is located well inside the property at your private entrance. Additional off-street parking is also available for a second vehicle/trailer. The self-catering facilities include a non-convection microwave oven, two-plate stove, large fridge with deep-freeze and ice trays, cordless kettle, toaster, coffee plunger, ample cutlery and crockery, a variety of glasses, utensils (from a cork-screw to a soup ladle), storage space and cleaning equipment... serviettes, toothpicks and spices! Fresh flower arrangements come standard. Complimentary coffee, tea, sugars (white, brown and sweetner) and milk are provided as a welcoming gesture - please bring more if required. Your rustic and private braai-boma (barbeque area) and all equipment are situated in the garden, along with a star-filled sky and the occassional frog or cricket "choir". In the event of foul weather (or a sore back), a higher, portable barbeque unit is available for use under your roofed entrance. (Wood/briquettes and firelighters are not included). Should you prefer a bed-and-breakfast option, you may wish to try our reknowned and generous "Blikbord" (Tin Plate) Breakfast - which is served at the private "braai"-boma or at your door. It consists of a random selection of goodies in season and in hospitas pantry, such as: fruit juice (freshly squeezed if seasonal), slice of freshly-baked farm bread, scones fresh from the oven, butter (no, not margarine!) and local jam, maybe a helping of ham or biltong, some cheese and perhaps a pumpkin fritter with an orange sauce, a pomegranate or organic guavas or figs from our garden or some carrot cake...
